Συγκεκριμένα, οι εργαζόμενοι των θεσμικών οργάνων της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης (Ευρωπαϊκή Επιτροπή, Ευρωπαϊκό Κοινοβούλιο, Ευρωπαϊκό Δικαστήριο, Ελεγκτικό Συνέδριο, Ευρωπαϊκή Κεντρική Τράπεζα, Ευρωπαϊκό Επενδυτικό Ταμείο) στις Βρυξέλλες, στο Στρασβούργο, στο Λουξεμβούργο και σε όλες τις ευρωπαϊκές πρωτεύουσες στηρίζουν τη δράση συλλέγοντας αγαθά που έχουν ανάγκη οι πρόσφυγες και χρήματα.

Στην δράση συμμετέχουν επίσης η Ευρωπαϊκή Υπηρεσία Εξωτερικής Δράσης (EEAS), το Ευρωπαϊκό Κέντρο για την Ανάπτυξη της Επαγγελματικής Κατάρτισης (CEDEFOP), ο Ευρωπαϊκός Οργανισμός για την Ασφάλεια Δικτύων και Πληροφοριών (ENISA),  καθώς και η Ελληνική Πρεσβεία στις Βρυξέλλες και το Λουξεμβούργο. Η δράση υλοποιείται με την αμέριστη στήριξη της Αντιπροέδρου της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής κ. Kristalina Georgieva, της Αντιπροέδρου της ΕΕ και Ύπατης Εκπροσώπου της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης για θέματα Εξωτερικής Πολιτικής και Ασφάλειας κ. F.Mogherini, τουΕπιτρόπου Μετανάστευσης, Εσωτερικών Υποθέσεων και Ιθαγένειας κ. Δημήτρη Αβραμόπουλου και τουΕπιτρόπου για την Ανθρωπιστική Βοήθεια και Διαχείριση Κρίσεων κ. Χρήστου Στυλιανίδη. Επιπλέον, η πρωτοβουλία τελεί υπό την Αιγίδα του Δήμου Αθηναίων.

Ο Επικεφαλής της Αντιπροσωπείας της Ευρωπαϊκής Επιτροπής στην Αθήνα, κ. Πάνος Καρβούνης, θερμός υποστηρικτής της προσπάθειας, δήλωσε σχετικά: «Η δωρεά αγαθών, χρόνου και χρημάτων είναι σημαντική για την ανακούφιση των προβλημάτων που συνδέονται με τη μαζική εισροή συνανθρώπων μας στην Ευρώπη. Εμείς, οι εργαζόμενοι στα θεσμικά Όργανα της Ευρωπαϊκής Ένωσης, θεωρούμε καθήκον μας να δείξουμε έμπρακτα την προσήλωση μας στις θεμελιώδεις αρχές του ευρωπαϊκού οικοδομήματος που είναι ο ανθρωπισμός και η αλληλεγγύη, στέλνοντας ένα μήνυμα προσφοράς και εθελοντισμού». 

Μέχρι στιγμής από προσφορές έχει συγκεντρωθεί το συνολικό ποσό των €130,000 καθώς καιπερισσότερα από 1,500κουτιά με είδη πρώτης ανάγκης. Η δράση θα διαρκέσει μέχρι το τέλος Απριλίου. Η υλική βοήθεια θα μεταφερθεί στην Ελλάδα και θα παραδοθεί στους προσφυγικούς καταυλισμούς Σκαραμαγκά (26/4) και Διαβατών (5/5) σε συνεργασία με τον Ελληνικό Ερυθρό Σταυρό στον οποίο θα επιδοθεί και η τραπεζική επιταγή.

Η δράση είναι μια πρωτοβουλία της Μόνιμης Αντιπροσωπείας της ΕΕ στην Αθήνα, σε συνεργασία με το ελληνικό τμήμα του Ερυθρού Σταυρού και σκοπό έχει την συγκέντρωση αγαθών (ρούχα, υπνόσακοι, πάνες για τα μωρά, είδη προσωπικής υγιεινής, πετσέτες, μπιμπερό κ.ά.)  που θα διατεθούν απευθείας στις οικογένειες προσφύγων που βρίσκονται ανά την Ελλάδα.

Η πρωτοβουλία «EUStaff4Refugees» θα συγκεντρώσει τα αγαθά την εβδομάδα 11 με 15 Απριλίου, σε όλα τα κτίρια των ευρωπαϊκών θεσμών στις Βρυξέλλες.

Malgré l’accord obtenu lors du dernier Conseil européen, la situation des réfugiés au sein de l’Union européenne demeure extrêmement préoccupante. Ceci est particulièrement le cas pour les 52.000 réfugiés qui se trouvent aujourd’hui en Grèce, dans les îles, dans les camps près d’Athènes (Eleonas, Elliniko) et, bien sûr, à Idomeni , à la frontière avec l’Ancienne République yougoslave de Macédoine.  

C’est dans ce contexte que la Représentation de la Commission à Athènes a pris l’initiative, en partenariat avec la Croix Rouge, d’organiser une vaste collecte de vêtements et de produits de première nécessité (pampers et produits pour bébés, habits neufs, sacs de couchage, noix et fruits secs etc) qui seront distribués directement dans les camps. Toutes les Représentations de la Commission participent à ce projet, et un partenariat a été noué avec l’OIB, le Comité central du Personnel, la DG HR et les organismes similaires de plusieurs autres institutions à Bruxelles et à Luxembourg, pour acheminer les denrées et les produits récoltés en Grèce.  

A Bruxelles, la collecte aura lieu du 11 au 15 avril dans tous les bâtiments de la Commission et dans plusieurs bâtiments d’autres institutions, sous le nom «EUStaff4 Refugees ». Vous pouvez également verser une donation sur le compte de l’Association Give Eur-hope, IBAN BE74 3630 8495 9007 BIC BBRUBEBB.

Comment participer ?

- Pour ceux qui travaillent à la Commission : vous pouvez apporter vos denrées (uniquement celles figurant dans la liste sur l’affiche, agréée avec la Croix Rouge) directement sur votre lieu de travail : vous pouvez les déposer au centre de tri postal de votre immeuble ou auprès du Chef d’immeuble. Les collectes seront assurées chaque jour par l’OIB et regroupées au Centre de Tri du Da Vinci, d’où elles seront acheminées vers la Grèce.

- Pour ceux qui travaillent dans les autres institutions : merci de vérifier votre site de communication interne pour savoir si votre institution participe et où vous pouvez déposer votre colis. Contactez –nous sinon en cas de besoin.

- Pour ceux qui travaillent en dehors des institutions : si vous habitez Bruxelles et que vous souhaitez participer à la collecte des denrées, merci de nous dire (joseph.jamar@ec.europa.eu ou +32.498.980045) où et quand nous pouvons aller chercher les colis. Si vous habitez en dehors de Bruxelles, vous pouvez participer à la collecte de fonds, via le numéro de compte bancaire ci-dessous.

La situation est grave, les besoins sont énormes et nous avons peu de temps. Chacun peut participer à sa manière, en alertant aussi ses proches ou ses amis. Nous devons nous mobiliser pleinement pour faire face à cette navrante et éprouvante situation.

Despite the agreement reached during the last European Council, the situation of refugees in the EU remains extremely preoccupying. This is particularly the case for the 52.000 refugees who are currently in Greece, in the islands, in the camps in Athens (Eleonas, Elliniko), and, above all, at Idomeni, along the border with FYROM.

In this respect, the Commission Representation in Athens took the initiative, in partnership with the Greek Red Cross, to collect a selected number of goods (pampers and baby nappies, new clothes, sleeping bags, cookies, nuts  and dried fruit)  to be distributed directly in the camps. All EU Representations will take part in this project and an agreement has been found with the OIB, the CCE, DG HR and the relevant services in a number of EU institutions, in order to deliver  the goods directly to Greece.

In Brussels, the “EUStaff4Refugees” initiative will be organised throughout the week of 11 to 15 April in all Commission buildings and in those of several other institutions. You also have the possibility to make a donation to  the bank account of the Give Eur’Hope association, IBAN BE74 3630 8495 9007 BIC BBRUBEBB.

How can you participate ?

- For those who are working in the Commission : you may bring your goods (only those mentioned on the poster) directly to work, and deposit them either at the central post centre in your building, or with the person in charge of your building (“Chef d’immeuble”). IOIB will collect the goods throughout the week and group them at the central dispatching service in Da Vinci, from where they will be dispatched to Greece.

- For those who are working in other institutions : please consult your Intranet, to see how you can take part, or contact us, in case of need.

- For those who are working outside the institutions : If you are living in Brussels, and you wish to give goods, please contact us (joseph.jamar@ec.europa.eu, tel : +32.498.980045à), to see when and where we can collect them.
